A Message from Our Founders

Dearest Patrons,

It is with both humility and great tenderness that we, Eleanor and Mary, mother and daughter, pen this note to you—a most cherished soul who finds themselves at the gates of New Life Lotus.

In truth, our story is not one adorned in gilded ease or societal pleasantries, but in real, raw resilience. Mary, my beloved daughter, was diagnosed with Depression, severe anxiety, and the ever-complicated Borderline Personality Disorder—a condition as tumultuous as it is misunderstood, one that turns the heart’s every beat into a battle and shadows the mirror of the self.

“What is a life, if not the exquisite dance of falling and rising again?”

While Mary weathered the storm within her mind, I, Eleanor, took my place beside her—her steadfast companion, her quiet sentinel, her mother. And thus began our shared journey: not a tale of perfect triumph, but one of deep learning, compassionate missteps, and an ever-unfolding practice of grace.

We turned to the noble sciences of healing—Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy—and wove them with lived experience, hand in hand. For over twenty-two years, we studied not only the art of survival, but of holding space—with dignity, softness, and strength.

From these years of walking both shadowed and sunlit paths, New Life Lotus blossomed—not as a cure, but as a love letter. A sanctuary. A whispered promise that says:

“You are not broken. You are becoming.”

Whether you are one who bears the heavy cloak of mental illness, or one who walks beside another, carrying the torch through the night, please know:

You are seen.
You are deeply, irrevocably worthy.
And you, sweet soul, may begin again,

On your own terms, and in your own time.
